1. How to Request Account Deletion

In-App Method (Primary)

Open the Verse Ltd app on your mobile device
Navigate to Settings → Account Settings
Tap "Delete Account"
Select a reason for deletion (optional)
Confirm by tapping "Request Account Deletion"
Check your email for confirmation

Email Method (Alternative)

If you cannot access the app, send an email to:

Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
Include: Your registered email address, phone number, and reason for deletion (optional)

2. 30-Day Grace Period

⚠️ Important: Grace Period Information

You have a 30-day grace period to cancel your deletion request
You can cancel anytime during this period by simply logging into the app
After 30 days, your account goes to admin review for final deletion
Final deletion occurs within 48 hours of admin approval

3. How to Cancel Deletion Request

To cancel your deletion request within the 30-day grace period:

Open the Verse Ltd app
Log in with your credentials
You'll see a notice about pending deletion
Tap "Cancel Deletion Request"
Your account will be restored immediately with all data intact

4. What Happens to Your Data

When you request account deletion, your personal information is anonymized rather than completely deleted. Financial and transaction records are retained for legal compliance under Nigerian financial regulations.

Financial account records (balance history, ledger entries) – 7 years

Saved bank account beneficiaries – 7 years
System audit logs – 3 years (security and compliance)
